About
Rebuilding Together North Suburban Chicago helps our neighbors repair their homes
Our vision is safe homes and communities for everyone.
The Rebuilding Together North Suburban Chicago network is comprised of partners, donors, volunteers, and contractors who make our work possible. The free home repair and remodeling we perform are necessities that no homeowner should live without, often giving much-needed boosts to our neighbors who have fallen on hard times. Without our free services, many residents would suffer serious injuries or even be forced to sell their homes.

Our History
Transforming homes, empowering lives.
Rebuilding Together North Suburban Chicago, serving Lake and Cook County in Illinois, is a 501 (c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization dedicated to providing essential home repairs and improvements to homeowners in need, all at no cost. With 28+ years of experience, we are proud to be one of approximately 150 affiliates of the national organization, Rebuilding Together. We started small helping two or three homeowners annually our first few years and now our North Suburban Chicago chapter has emerged into a major initiative, improving the quality of life for many.
Our Impact
Neighbors helping neighbors.
United in our commitment to ensuring every individual has a safe and healthy home, we have grown from assisting just two or three homeowners annually to becoming a leading initiative that significantly enhances the quality of life for many individuals. Each year, our dedicated team of volunteers tackles repair and rehabilitation projects for approximately 50-60 homes across Lake County and Cook County, Illinois. Our flagship Annual Rebuilding Day in April involves over 250+ volunteers coming together to make a lasting impact in our communities.
